Role Summary

The Multimedia Designer will be responsible for creating a wide range of digital and print assets—including scientific illustrations, promotional videos, social media graphics, and interactive journal layouts—to enhance the global reach of our published research and strengthen the Scifiniti brand identity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Scientific Visualization: Design accurate and aesthetically pleasing infographics, graphical abstracts, and illustrations to represent complex scientific data and concepts.
  • Video Production: Lead the end-to-end production of promotional videos, "meet the editor" segments, and motion graphics for journal announcements.
  • Brand Management: Maintain and evolve Scifiniti’s visual identity across all platforms, ensuring consistency in typography, color palettes, and imagery.
  • Digital Marketing Assets: Create high-converting visuals for social media platforms, email newsletters, and web banners.
  • Layout & Editorial Design: Assist in the design of digital journal covers, annual reports, and marketing brochures.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the editorial and marketing teams to translate technical requirements into compelling visual narratives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Multimedia Arts, Visual Communications, or a related field.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating versatility in graphic design, video editing, and motion graphics (candidates with experience in scientific or technical visualization will be prioritized).
  • Expert-level command of Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, and Premiere Pro).

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a multimedia design role.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Visual Storytelling: The ability to take "dry" or complex data and turn it into a captivating visual story.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous eye for detail, particularly regarding typography, alignment, and scientific accuracy.
  • Technical Agility: Proficiency in UI/UX principles for web-based content and familiarity with HTML/CSS is a plus.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to explain design choices to non-design stakeholders.
  • Adaptability: Ability to stay updated with the latest design trends and AI-driven creative tools to optimize workflows.
