APCs for Open Access Publication

• Operating on a fully open-access model, Scifiniti allows unrestricted use and reuse of articles under a Creative Commons (CC BY) license.
• Authors are required to submit a single APC, encompassing diverse costs associated with publication. It is important to note that the prepayment does not ensure automatic acceptance of the manuscript.
• No charges are incurred for rejected articles, submission fees, or additional fees based on article length, figures, or supplementary data.
• Certain elements, such as Editorials, Corrections, Addendums, Retractions, and Comments, incur no charges upon publication.

Allocation of APC Funds

• Ensuring transparency in APC pricing aligns with recommendations from the Fair Open Access Alliance and complies with Plan S requirements.
• APCs fund crucial aspects such as publishing operations, peer review organization, production tasks, editorial fees, marketing, communication, general management, and digital preservation.

Discounts and Waivers

• In support of open access transition, Scifiniti regularly offers APC waivers or discounts.
• Authors affiliated with institutions in our Open Access Program for institutions and societies partnered with Scifiniti may receive discounts.
• Limited funding fields may experience waivers or cross-subsidies.
• Case-by-case waivers or discounts for authors from low- and middle-income countries are considered based on research quality and financial capacity.

Accepted Currencies and Payment Methods

• APCs are payable in AED, EUR, USD, and GBP within 5 to 10 business days.
• Accepted payment methods include wire transfer, credit card, online payment via PayPal, and checks payable to Scifiniti.

Extensive English Editing

• Authors are responsible for submitting work in correct English.
• APC covers minor English editing, and extensive editing is discouraged to avoid publication delays.

Funding of APCs

• Many funding agencies permit research grants for APCs.
• Scifiniti provides various funding options, encouraging authors to discuss payment alternatives with our editorial office.

Discounts and Waivers for Research Accessibility

• Scifiniti actively supports accessibility for authors in developing countries, offering waivers and discounts based on predetermined criteria.
• Open access agreements and funding body arrangements are encouraged to enhance access for researchers.
