It is my pleasure to present this first issue of Ecological and Sustainable Materials Connect. This new journal aims to provide a platform for researchers, scientists, engineers, and practitioners across various fields who are committed to developing sustainable solutions and improving design options to create better sustainable societies and produce efficient, eco-friendly bio-products in the future. We intend to encourage multidisciplinary cooperation, facilitate the exchange of new ideas, and promote the research and practical implementation of ecological and sustainable materials, particularly the development of functional composite materials based on lignocellulosic sources.
Ecological and Sustainable Materials Connect is guided by the idea that sustainable materials will remain at the center of ecological practices and sustainability activities. We commit ourselves to making it an excellent peer-reviewed journal that meets the varied and changing needs of the sustainable composite community through our partnership with Scifiniti. It is more imperative than ever that interdisciplinary barriers are removed and a space is created where innovative research can flourish, resulting in improved, sustainable, and functional products and a higher quality of life. This approach.
Ecological and Sustainable Materials Connect will be of extensive scope encompassing but not limited to, lignocellulosic materials, natural fiber composites, polymeric composites, bioplastics and biopolymers, ecological materials, materials for energy saving/ harvesting/ storage, antibacterial packaging, sustainable materials for functional bio-products, sustainable materials for electronics / bio-sensors / smart wearables, sustainable building materials, materials modeling, materials selection, design for circular economy, life cycle assessment, and artificial intelligence in sustainable materials. We accept original research papers, review articles, perspectives, and commentary works that contribute to the development of ecological and sustainable materials science. We aim to build an environment of a vibrant and creative community that challenges the traditional thought process through encouraging interdisciplinary research cooperation.
I consider myself to be very fortunate to serve as Editor-in-Chief of this journal, working alongside such a dedicated Editorial Board and benefiting from our extensive network of distinguished reviewers. We share a common objective, i.e., to maintain the highest possible standards of scientific integrity and rigor. I extend an invitation to researchers worldwide to participate in this compelling endeavor and contribute their valuable insights and findings to Ecological and Sustainable Materials Connect.
I appreciate your encouragement and trust that this journal will serve as both a scientific resource and an inspiring guide for you.
