Biography
Dr. Hanieh Yaghootkar, MD, MSc, PhD, is Professor of Health Data and Technology at the University of Southampton. She leads a multidisciplinary research team that combines advanced statistical methods, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and genetic epidemiology to investigate complex human diseases. Her work harnesses large-scale human datasets to identify causal biomarkers, develop personalised prediction models, and uncover the biological mechanisms that drive disease risk and progression. Dr Yaghootkar’s research contributes to advancing precision health and improving outcomes through data-driven innovation.
